Early Life and Education
Born on December 4, 1976, in Delhi, Lokesh Mittal completed his schooling at Bharat National Public School and graduated from Delhi University. From a young age, he was drawn to dance and expression, which eventually led him to the world of acting.
Theatre and Early Acting Career
Lokesh began his artistic journey through theatre, performing in plays like Ghumrah at the Russian Art and Culture Centre on Feroz Shah Road. He was associated with the renowned Natsamrat Theatre Group and was a regular visitor to the Shri Ram Centre, where he developed his skills on stage.
He made his television debut in 1999 with the Doordarshan serial School Days. Reflecting on his beginnings, Lokesh emphasizes that theatre is a crucial foundation for any aspiring actor.

Hiatus and a Bold Comeback
After getting married in 2006, Lokesh stepped away from acting to run a bath fittings business. However, following a significant loss in 2015, he found himself at a crossroads. Battling emotional setbacks, he made a determined return to acting, encouraged by his family’s support.
There was a point when I was completely lost. But returning to acting felt like finding myself again.
Growth in Film and Web Series
Lokesh soon began auditioning again in Delhi and landed roles in popular crime shows such as Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol, along with commercial projects including IPL promos.
His film debut came with Chal Ja Bapu (2016), followed by appearances in acclaimed films like Kadvi Hawa and Sui Dhaaga—the latter being a significant turning point in his career.
